Professor Frank Reid
Currently Professor and Assistant Chair in the Management Department at Austin Community College (ACC), Frank started his career as an electrical engineer and spent more than 20 years as a technical executive in general, program and design management. Frank also specialized in product marketing, and operational leadership where his specialty was increasing profitability (turnarounds) and the acceleration of product development from idea to production.
Frank joined ACC in 2010 where alongside teaching, he has also dedicated his efforts in increasing equity in the Austin area. Frank has served on the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) planning committee, the Academic Master Plan Committee, and the IDEAL steering committee. He has also presented on panels at the regional symposium on race, and was a subcommittee member of the Mayor’s Taskforce for Institutional racism.
Frank has served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of several of Austin’s important business entities including Austin Metro YMCA, Agere Community Investment Council, and Blom Wireless Inc.
