Dr. Habiba Noor

Dr. Habiba Noor is a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Education at Trinity. She teaches courses in Urban Education and in the Social Justice FYE. She is co-author of the documentary theatre play, To Be Honest: Voices on Donald Trump’s Muslim Ban, published by Trinity University Press. The play draws on extensive interviews during the 2016 presidential campaign. Dr. Noor has extensive experience in the K-12 education space; she has worked as a public middle school teacher in Oakland, CA and New York City. She wrote the curriculum for the Muslims in Brooklyn Oral History Project for the Brooklyn Historical Society. Dr. Noor is a founding member of the TEACH Coalition, a coalition of scholars, parents, educators and community stakeholders.
